I have just read the President Chirac of France has stepped off the bus with the US and Brittian regarding Iran. Chirac may be requesting that the UN Security Council lift it’s threat of sanctions against Iran during the negotiation, due to a radio interview of Chirac yesterday. Chirac is the only one of the permanent members of the Security Council and Germany to mention that suspension of uranium enrichment is not necessary to negotiate.
This is a pretty dumb idea! Let’s have Iran, who hates anything Jewish or American, continue to develop nuclear weapons while they “talk” with the UN. I would usually call this move by Chirac as incompetent, and idiotic, but I do believe Chirac is making a statement.
I believe he is dodging terror in France by kissing the very bottoms of terroristic societies, all-the-while attempting to cause the US and Brittain to look callused and intolerant of societies different than themselves.
Chirac is a mere puppet of political proportions, and people say the US acted in Iraq because of personal interest? Chirac has constantly gone against the US and Brittian in foreign policy decisions, and yet we call France an ally!
I say we boycott France once more (thank you Bill O’Reilly), and push some economic weight if Chirac bows to the threats against his own troops in Lebanon.
