“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Listen in now!
My wife and I went on our weekly date night last night, and we decided to go to the Parks at Arlington Mall. My wife was going to quickly return an item to a home decor store there while I quickly slipped into the Lifeway Christian Store.
It took my longer than I would have liked as I was trying to find a very compact NKJV bible which would be my companion for preaching, retreats, and times away. The large study bibles are just not conducive for everyday carrying. Unfortunately this Lifeway BookStore did a poor job of cataloging bibles. Usually, most Christian bookstores go by version first and then breakdown to types after that, well Lifeway has them broken down by type of bible but the way they categorize the bibles is very loose at that.
The point of my post here was not to review Lifeway stores, but I could not help but bring up things that made sopping difficult. My reason fro writing this post comes while I was standing in line to buy the Bible I finally found after 20 minutes of perusing the Bible section.
A group of young ladies probably all under 17 years of age were all sitting in the middle of the front display area of the christian bookstore, and they were listening to a song on an audio device out loud for all to hear in the store. The song was "I Kissed A Girl" and this song is about lesbian experimentation, and how harmless it really is. The young ladies were all singing in unison louder than I hear young people praising God on Sundays for sure.
I tried my best to silently show my discontent with the content of the song and the audacity to sing and play that song in a christian bookstore, and the fact that these supposed christian teens thought this would be appropriate. I was looking to the staff to put a stop to it, but they ignored it as if nothing was going on. The girls got the hint from me, when I said something loud and clear and proceeded to change the song, and a rap song come on and within 4 starting words of the song the "sh" word came out and they laughed.
I was grieved, sad, sort of sullen at this point. I have dedicated my life to teach and train young people in the ways of the Lord, and it was a portal window, a spy glass look into what the church… especially youth ministries are producing overall. God forgive us for allowing watered-down, everything in moderation teachings in the church. Raise up a generation of young people who will fear God!
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
