Heb has better selection, fresh products and there meat has been tested by the local news ksat and beat both walmarts and targets in freshness and has no additives to make it stay fresh longer and thats a fact. walmart and target add some type of additive to make it stay red for a longer period of time. Sorry but heb hands down is superior in quality.

Just be careful shopping at HEB stores....they aren't real big on security.....couple of years ago I was attacked in bright daylight in thier parking lot. A couple of people in truck grabbed me and attempted to pull me into the truck but luckily were only able to get my purse. But they were successful in dragging me down the parking lot scraping me up and leaving me with blood running down my legs. When I went into the store to call the police, the manager acted as though he'd be much happier if I'd gone somewhere else to make that call and he didn't like the cops coming to the store. The police ask to see the security tapes and that 's when we found out they only have camera's on the doors for folks exiting the store, none in the parking lot! Guess they're only interested in some robbing and taking thier money out of the store, they've no interest in the security for the folks bringing the money INTO the store!! The police were surprised as was I...in this day and age it's vital for these places that invite us into thier establishments to ensure that our visit is not only a pleasant one but a safe one as well.....in this case they didn't even have a security guard on duty...they say they can't afford security.....big store like HEB doesn't have the money to pay for security??? I don't think so.....just a few weeks ago one of my neighbors had a similar incident at an HEB....they were robbed right in the parking lot and the security that was their was sitting up by the front door and when they did talk to him he could barely speak English!! Big help he was. I'm very surprised and disappointed in HEB....thought they were more interested in thier community than that.
